Just a note to report that we have been able to fly from dawn to dusk ever since last Friday- the last day of Nats. We also experienced perfect weather for the three weeks prior to Nationals. (Yes, I did practice- NO- it didn't show!!) Having lived in the Dallas area for the last 40 years, I can assure everyone that moving the contest up two weeks would greatly improve our chances of good weather. Although it would be slightly hotter, I would rather sweat and fly than stand around in a windbreaker on the ramp watching weather balloons like we have the last three years. For those who wish to move the contest, my understanding is that we have a contract with Grayson County which commits us to continuing there through the year 2000. Let's face it, no matter what part of the country we live in, we all deal with weather throughout the year. Let's just hope that we are blessed with good weather next year, wherever and whenever the contest is held. Bill Marcellus Chapter 24, Dallas
