The best fix I've seen for keeping you from sliding side to side with the wooden-backed Pitts seats is to use a piece of the perforated, soft rubber material sold as shelf liner, tool drawer liner material, etc. as an anti-slip surface. It's not very durable but is quite cheap. A 12 inch or greater wide band of it can be stapled to the seat back with the ends wrapped around the backside and stapled in place. It will grip parachute container material, clothes, skin, just about anything. There is a heavier duty grade of the same material that is sold as a mat to hold wood from moving on a workbench while it is being sawn, routed, etc. Jeffery Poehlmann > > I screwed a piece of industrial type carpeting to the wooden seat back in my > S-1T.
