  living in california...
    i tried to avoid use (sales) tax on an a/c a couple years ago by forming 
a Delaware corporation (delaware registry limited.) it seemed to work but in 
reality it just posponed paying the taxes. it doesn't work!! eventually i 
paid the entire tax plus late fees.
    in calif..pay the tax and enjoy flying. no one said flying was cheap.
